NSW: Fisherman missing in Murray River
SYDNEY, April 6 AAP - A fisherman is missing in the Murray River, near the NSW/Victorianborder, only a day after an Irish tourist drowned in the river.
NSW police and volunteers were searching the river near Barooga where the man fellinto the water while fishing with friends, a police spokeswoman said.
Only yesterday morning the body of a 24-year-old Irish tourist was found by SES workersnear the Swan Hill Bridge.
A search had been called for the backpacker from Northern Ireland after the currentgrew strong while he was canoeing and his canoe overturned, the spokeswoman said.
